Why Pharmacy Canary exists
Free, hands-on practice for the data side of pharmacy operations.
Pharmacy Canary is built by a pharmacy automation analyst who learned SQL, dashboards and supply chain math on the job, one problem at a time.
This site is the resource I wish I'd had: short lessons and practice problems built around the work pharmacy operations people actually do, like counting discrepancies, setting par levels, tracking expiring stock and explaining the numbers to a manager. Everything runs in your browser, it's free, and every dataset is synthetic.
The name comes from the canary in the coal mine: good pharmacy data spots trouble early, before it turns into a stockout, a waste problem or a long night.
📝 A longer story about how I got here is coming soon.
How it works
- Study, attempt, build, explain, retest. Each lesson ends with a short "explain it in your own words" note, and passed items come back for spaced review.
- Synthetic data only. No real patients, sites, systems or prices.
- No account. Your progress stays in your own browser. See Privacy.
Educational only, not medical or professional advice. Lessons teach data and math skills. They are not clinical, dosing, legal or purchasing guidance, so always follow your own organization's policies and licensed professionals.
